Hi

Where has the time gone!!!!!!
Life has been rather 'interesting' !! Onwards and upwards

Well I am looking forward to moving ahead to bigger and better things to come.
I am demonstrating at the Rural Womens Retreat at Cornerstone College this arvo. I hope to meet lots of lovely ladies and share my passion of scrapping/stamping.

When I get myself organized better I will post some more pics of the new things that I have been learning and creating. What fun to be able to express my creativity in such an awesome way.

See you soon.

Yesterday...

I had the pleasure of meeting Nic Wood and little Jacinta, thank you Kathie for bringing them along so we could finally meet (we live so close really!!!). I had an awesome day. Again totally inspired by the creative talents of some lovely girls and really enjoying hanging out with other papercrafters in the Scrap Inn.
The next BB girls get together will definitely be on a Wednesday so hopefully more girls may be free to be able to make it .

I have been trying out some new things that I have been learning from these very talented girls and ABSOLUTELY loving every moment of it. I am totally addicted to napkins still and even more now!!!!!!! and am fast becoming addicted to paper punching ~ thank you Lisa!!!!!

It is all so therapeutic !!!!!!! punch punch punch LOL (wink)

Autumn has arrived

We have had some beautiful rain and the Adelaide Hills are greener than they have been for many years at this time of the year. AND after 2 years of drought it is SO refreshing to see GORGEOUS autumnal leaves and green paddocks.

I must get the camera and take more photos to post here. I am retraining myself to not procrastinate, (BUT I am not succeeding very well at the moment though!!)
I have been busy making cards and having a fab time trying new techniques and using my new stamps.
I am REALLY enjoying the haven of the Scrap Inn, it is so nice and peaceful in that building and I am SO privileged to have it here - SO want to share it with others too!!

I will have photos real soon,
Til then have a great day,

What a fabulous day!

Steph, Lisa, Kathie, Bel, Mel and Janine came today and WOW what a group of lovely and talented girls to be able to share the day with. Thanks girls for sharing your company and creativity with me today - it was awesome .

Everyone brought so much food and, along with the Lobethal bakery goodies, we had a feast; as well as heaps of fun.
The children were so good together under the watchful eye of my nephew , Sam. Climbing trees, making cubby houses, and walking around the farm. Some of the children even got to see my nephew Mark's little orphaned lamb that he is bottle feeding.
AND the weather was perfect (thank you Lord). As close to a perfect day as I could have imagined.

There are plans for another get together in 3 weeks time, maybe there might be a bit more scrapping next time!!!!

Thanks again girls , I am really looking forward to the next time

I am very inspired and am rearing to try some new things out real soon.

Bye til next time,

Tomorrow isnt so far away now!!!

VERY busy day fun today. I was off to Wild Nutmeg for the Stamping Club where I shared how to do napkin and Modpodged cards. OHHHH I love those napkins and by the way Wild Nutmeg has SO many and at the moment they are 50% off - I just had to get just a few more today!!!

I have been SO excited about tomorrow's BB Adelaide girls get together.

I now have 5 beautiful new Ikea tables all set up and ready to scrap on.
HOW AWESOME the Scrap Inn is really starting to take shape.
DH and the kids picked up the tables and helped put them together tonight and I tidied up the scrap room so it is neat and tidy and ready to go.

I am SO blessed out of my socks that things are beginning to unfold , and the new chapter of my life's journey is proving to be something VERY good.

Anyways, I am REALLY looking forward to meeting some new friends tomorrow and I am sure that I will be blown away by their awesome creativity and inspired to stretch myself to try even more exciting things.

2 more sleeps!!

Wednesday BB Adelaide girls get-together is nearly here. I trust that nothing prevents, any of you BB girls who wants to come, from making it here. It will be a 10.30 start and you are all welcome to stay as long as you want to (sorry I am not offering a sleep-over and all-night scrapping though!!!!! well not yet anyway).

I am hoping that my new Ikea tables will be up and ready to use by Wednesday.

Above is another card that I made recently. I used both positive and negative masking with punched out flowers , then used my favourite florish stamp AGAIN!!!
I am trying to stretch myself out of my comfort zone and use colours other than purple and pink - WOW is that ever a challenge for me!!!!.
I love how butterfly wings with vintage image girls create little angels.
Oh and the crown is grungeboard with foil paper just to add a bit of bling (thank you Lisa for putting me onto that foil paper - it is awesome to use).

Bye for now

Here I used SU ink to sponge ink the background and SU stamps very lightly so that the gorgeous image would stand out. Kindy glitz gives her wings sparkle and the big flower has an old button holding it onto the card
Add ImageI had SO much fun playing with this image too, and how about that fab BG paper.
I would LOVE to find more of that lily-of-the-valley vintage lace though, it is so dainty and I have now used all of it!!.

As you can see, my florish stamps get used ALL the time!!!
LOVE 'em and I have just bought more so I will have a greater variety to use. I will post a couple of cards soon that I have done with my new SU florish stamps from the newly released catalogue.

The Latest on the SCRAP INN

Thank the Lord there have been green lights so far from the local council. It is getting VERY exciting and I have been lead to remain positive and keep on planning. I have So many ideas.

I am REALLY looking forward to being able to share the wonderful place where I live and give women a chance to truly relax and be themselves , unhindered, for a weekend of pampering.

This is what I am planning
  • New tables from Ikea (one table each , so there will be ample room to spread out) along with swivel office chairs for optimum comfort.
  • Good lighting is paramount - I am planning to have daylight globes-
  • a big workbench with tools that will be available for use during your stay
  • Sizzix machine and dies , embossing folders and
  • Cricut machine with several different cartridges. And I hope to have a sewing machine to stitch paper in there too.
I'll supply these things so you wont have to bring or carry so many heavy things.

Nice smelly organic soap products will be there also, a good friend has her own business selling these yummy 'Just Because' products.
Who would be interested in a nice massage ????? I am considering looking into inviting a local masseur, I trust that she may be able to work on weekends and travel out to the Scrap Inn. What do you think??? Would that be something that you may enjoy on your visit???
I would love to hear any comments to help me plan better.

Well, then there is the food ......... more on that at a later date , I need to know what people want.
Any ideas will be gratefully considered. I really want to be able to give you a weekend of total relaxation and all at an affordable cost.

Soon I will get some pics to post here of what this little retreat looks like at the moment. They will be 'before' photos because there is a bit of work to be done yet to 'pretty' the place up more.

Anyways
Remember to take time to enjoy life,

Glimmer mist cards

Today I thought I would share some of my artwork with you all.
I have used glimmer mist on these WOWSER is that fun to use. These are all occasion cards and YES my favourite colours are pink/purple ( how did you guess!!!)
I am really loving using those vintage images as well and am always on the lookout for pieces of old lace and trimmings to add for the finishing touches.

I had a friend visit today and I helped her work on an album she is making for a present, it is REALLY great to be able to share my passion for papercraft and get to know people better in the process.

See you next time
